Pentagon sending 3,750 more troops to Mexico border
This Sunday, the pentagon has announced the deployment of about 3,750 more on active duty troops for the US border that is with Mexico. This deployment is going to raise the active duty forces for the approximate level of 4,350.
The Pentagon has said that there would be some additional units deployed for the upcoming 90 days and they will continue to make the evaluation of the force composition that is required to meet the mission for the security and the protection of the southern border. There would roughly 2400 active duty forces which are currently present on the border and there are also a large number of the people who are going home by being replaced by the newly deployed forces.
The announcement had came forward being a congressional committee which seeks to reach for the deal on the funding for the border security that is for averting as another shutdown for the partial government. It has also been hinted by the President Trump for declaring a national emergency if the deal doesn’t include it in the funds which are necessary for the border wall. There is a lack of agreement for the funding on the border wall which has the closed portion for the government for about 35 days. Trump has given the orders for the deployment back in 2018 October for the response to impending the arrival on the border for the asylum seeker caravan that is from the Central America.
