A couple of hours before Nawaz Sharif and his daughter arrived Pakistan; a baleful attack took place. It was a terrorist suicide attack. The attack took place in Mastung on 13 July, Friday and killed at least 132 people including a candidate of Balochistan National Party (BNP), named Siraj Raisani.
Islamabad. 15th. July, 2018: Nawaz Sharif was in the eastern city of London, where he was attending his diseased wife who has been diagnosed with lymphoma when he was ordered to return to Pakistan by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

- Why are they arrested?
Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and her husband Muhammad Safdar are in custody for the same charge. Sentenced imprisonment for 10 , 7 and 1 year accordingly. They have been accused of owning luxury apartments in Britain which are acquired by illegal money. Except for being imprisoned, Maryam is disqualified from contesting election for ten years and is fined 2 million pounds. While Pakistan supreme court has announced that Nawaz Sharif has been disqualified from holding public office for a lifetime. Now his brother Shahbaz Sharif heads Pakistan Muslim League N (PMLN). Before leaving for Pakistan, in a video message, Nawaz Sharif asked his supporters to come and greet him on Lahore airport and vote for his party on 25 July, 2018. He also said that he wasn’t afraid and used the opportunity to criticize Pakistan’s unbeatable military once again. But the police arrested anyone creating chaos and utilized barbed wires on roads leading to the airport. Barricades were used to block the roads to minimize crowd around the airport. In a video message on the way to Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif said that he was aware of being taken to prison directly.

He was the brother of ex Baluchistan chief minister, Aslam Raisani. His brothers claim that they are receiving threats too. Aamaq news agency carried a statement that Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack and at the same time gave no reason for the attack. The Associated Press has informed of another 300 people wounded during the rally.
