At the end of his ‘Saturday Night Live’ appearance, Kanye West delivered a speech in favor of President Trump that received a lot of boos from the crowd. Many fellow cast members were seen shaking their heads in disapproval as Kanye West spoke in the support of President Trump.
West was wearing a hat ‘Make America Great Again,’ capped off the show by performing ‘Ghost Town’ in front of audience. Instead of thanking the audience and going off the stage, as it generally happens, the celebrity went political. The broadcast was ended by that time and audience as well as fellow cast members recorded the scenes with their smartphones. A clip, posted by the comedian Chris Rock, showed the comedian speaking along with a beat in the background.
“I wanna cry right now, black man in America, supposed to keep what you’re feelin’ inside right now…The blacks want always Democrats…you know it’s like the plan they did, to take the fathers out the home and put them on welfare… does anybody know about that? That’s a Democratic plan.”
Another clip found on the internet showed West continuing his speech, “There’s so many times I talk to a white person and [they] say, ‘How could you like Trump, he’s racist?’ Well, if I was concerned about racism I would’ve moved out of America a long time ago.”
Moreover, West stated that he will run for Trump again in 2020 and ended his speech with stating that all the audience would not agree to what he just said.
While some of the audience chose to remain silent, others came up with boos and yells. Some cast members were also seen shaking their head and disagreeing to their fellow celebrity. But in all of this, there were some claps too!
Among all the buzz, a news that might feel lost is that West is changing his name to ‘Ye.’ The announcement was made on SNL. He is going to replace Ariana Grande as musical guest.
West first performed ‘I Love It’ and latter he sang ‘We God Love,’ former with Lil Pump and latter with Teyana Taylor.
