Oumuamua can be an alien spacecraft: Suggests the scientists
The mysterious object, Oumuamua, can be an alien spacecraft.
It was observed to be going across the sun in late 2017 and was at a pretty high speed. Considering the unusual path it was following, and the reddish stadium sized appearance it had on it, it was pretty clear that the object does not belong to our solar system. However, the flattened and elongated shape of the item and its acceleration as it was approaching the solar system was among the things which made it a stand out. When took in comparison with the regular asteroids and comets, it appeared to be very strange.
Now, as per the research coming from Harvard, there is a strong possibility that this can be an alien spacecraft. According to the paper which was published in the Astrophysical Journal Letters on 12th of November, the researches pointed out that this can be a completely working probe which has been sent here with the intention to observe earth and its surroundings by an alien civilization.
However, the researchers are yet to clearly state that it is an alien spacecraft. But with the careful analysis based on the principles of mathematics, the interstellar object and how it went past sun gives all the indications that it can be an alien spacecraft who made its way through the space as the light fell on its surface.
“It is impossible to guess the purpose behind Oumuamua without more data,” Avi Loeb, chairman of Harvard’s astronomy department and a co-author of the paper, told NBC News MACH in an email. If Oumuamua is a lightsail, he added, one possibility is that it was floating in interstellar space when our solar system ran into it, “like a ship bumping into a buoy on the surface of the ocean.”
The interesting fact is that space experiments have been made by experts to send the solar powered lightsails but the technology isn’t very efficient and still in the early developmental stages.
