Rumors spread about PSG willing to make a bid for Tottenham star Christian Eriksen

The transfer window has seen some significant changes while a few more are yet to come before the deadline. PSG are set to ask for Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Spurs for a reported bid of 1 million pound.

The Express reports that the French giants are keen on urging the 26 year old to finalize the transfer and the fact that he is hesitating in signing the new contract adds a lot more spice to the things. They are willing to persuade Dane for the move.

Eriksen is a star at this club with prominent performances last season. He was a prominent figure, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists for the team in all the games throughout competitions last year. It helped spurs in securing a Champions League spot. Eriksen was also involved in the triumph of Spurs over New Castle, 2-1, on the first day of league season.

What else has been in the news is the fact that Thomas Tuchel is looking to get off Julian Draxler and Angel Di Maria to assure that he has the required sum for the bid. Moreover, the keen interest of Real Madrid in Eriksen, who is looking to sign up as a potential replacement for the star midfielder Luka Modric, is also in the news. Modric is being persuaded for a move by Inter.

Despite all that, Spurs will be looking to hold tightly onto the star irrespective of the bid that is coming. The reason is that Eriksen will be a key player in their team this season as they haven’t made any significant impact in this transfer window and offloading him from the squad is likely to create a gap as they are unlikely to find a replacement immediately.

On the other side of the picture, PSG has been very observant and patient throughout this transfer period. Their significant signings of this season include the inclusion of Buffon who came on free transfer. They also got the services of Kylian Mbappe on permanent basis, signing them from Monaco, for a reported fee of 166 million pounds.
